Congratulations to William Fox-Pitt and Cool Mountain who won Rolex 2010 on their dressage score!

This was Fox-Pitt’s seventh ride at Rolex and his first win.

Although this was Cool Mountain’s first  **** event, he made it look easy. So did William. Considering how tall he is(6’5″)  I’m always amazed by how balanced he is in the saddle.

Cool Mountain is a 10 year old TB gelding just at the start of his eventing career. It seems from what I’ve read that Fox-Pitt hoped for a top 10 finish with this horse — and thanks to excellent navigation and an obvious partnership, took home the $80,000 prize!
