Somehow 2011 just evaporated while I wasn’t paying attention. Especially the last month! I’m going to be launching 2012 with a new Blog Carnival of Horses.
I’d really love for all of you to submit your favorite posts from 2011 as a way to sum up the year.
Remember, the Blog Carnival of Horses is a great way to share your horse-related blog with new readers!
The December Blog Carnival of Horses snuck up on me while I wasn’t paying attention! Some time yesterday when contemplating the holidays, I realized that December 1st is Thursday! That means it’s time to submit your post to the Blog Carnival of Horses
We’ve had great participation in the past few editions. It’s been great to see some new blogs represented and, of course, my favorites.
So please submit your post. Remember, it’s free and offers you the chance to get in front of some new readers.
The November Blog Carnival of Horses will be published here on Equine Ink on November 1st.
Don’t miss your chance to get your blog included! Submit your post here. It’s free, the form takes about two minutes to fill out, and you can expose your blog to lots of new readers.
The only requirements are that your blog post be horse related and not be blatantly promotional for a product.
I always look forward to the Blog Carnivals as it give me the chance to find more ways to read about horses. Look forward to seeing your post included.

Artist Linda Ann Hughes submitted this painting instead of a blog posting. I think it's a great precedent and hope that more artists will follow suit. You can see her paintings at www.lindaannhughes.com
Welcome to the December 2010 edition of carnival of the horses. I apologize for the delay in posting but the Carnival site was down yesterday and your submissions were locked inside.
In addition to the posts below, artist Linda Ann Hughes suggested including her most recent painting (at left). I love the idea of featuring paintings, drawings, and photographs along with blog postings, so keep them coming!
Now, on to the more traditional offerings!
theliteraryhorse presents A Roping We Have Gone? posted at The Literary Horse, saying, “In which we go watch a roping, and Jane accidentally works a steer. Oops.”
Tina Marconi presents Top 101 Blogs to Inspire You To Protect Endangered Species posted at Vet Tech, saying, “Whenever a species drops to dangerously low numbers and is in danger of extinction, it is referred to as an endangered species. Before, the only way to spread the word or even learn about endangered species was through specialized publications.”
Rachel Clark presents Operation: Secret Horse (Pt. 2) posted at What Is This, Even?!, saying, “This is the story of how my first horse came a-cantering into my life.”
Ashley Porter presents 50 Horse and Equestrian Blogs posted at Veterinarian Technician, saying, “Learning about horses and equestrianism is a fun hobby whether you can afford to participate in the sport or not. When it comes to equestrianism, there’s a lot to take in. From different riding from thoroughbred horse racing to the Ride and Tie.”
Susan Schreyer presents Stepping Away From The Familiar posted at Things I Learned From My Horse.
Joe Rich presents Glycogen Sparing Effect in Endurance Horses or Feeding Fat to the Endurance Horse posted at Joe Rich Ramblin.
Rhonda Lane presents Zenyatta: the view from Heartbreak Hill | The Horsey Set Net posted at The Horsey Set Net, saying, “Right before Zenyatta retires to her new life in the hills of Kentucky, let’s take a look at how she brought a stressed-out nation together in the days after a divisive election season.”
