Get the Scoop from Equine Ink

EQuine Ink Scoop.it

Catch up with interesting equestrian news, videos, artwork and humor on Equine Ink’s new Scoop.it magazine

There’s so much great  horse-related content out there now that I decided to start a Scoop.it “magazine” devoted to the things I like to read. It’s a little bit like having the Blog Carnival of Horses all the time — I’ve already found a lot of great stories that I think readers of Equine Ink would also enjoy.

Fran Jurga inspired me when she started “scooping” stories about the Olympics last summer — I’d never seen the platform before and loved how it organizes stories by topic.

I’m having a lot of fun with this right now and I hope that you will too.

You can find my scooped stories here. Please sign up and come along for the ride.

PS – what I really like about this platform is that it links you back to the original source of the material so if you like what you read you can go back to find more.

I look forward to reading your posts!

Vote early and often!

Equestrian Social Media Awards

Cast your vote for the best Equestrian Blog of 2013.

Well, actually you can only vote once, but you’ll enjoy doing the research. The finalist for the 2013 Equestrian Social Media Awards were recently announced and you have until February 8th to cast your vote.

Of course, the awards are for more than just blogs — but that’s what I find the most interesting.

If you haven’t read these blogs, here’s your chance. I was familiar with most, but not all of them. What I think is great is that blogs from individuals — like Fran Jurga’s Hoofblog — are going head to head with large blog communities like Haynet and Horse Junkies United. Here’s your chance to cast your vote for the content you like best. And maybe discover a few blogs that you will enjoy.

Drum roll please . . . and the finalists are:
