It should come as no surprise that Michael Jung won Burghley. The only small surprise is that it should be on La Biosthetique Sam FBW and not FischerRocana FST, with whom he led after dressage — and who fell in the water less than two minutes into his cross country round! Jung had a picture […]
William Fox-Pitt rode Fernhill Pimms in a lovely relaxed test to tie for first place with Michael Jung after dressage. You would never know that it was the horse’s first 4*. You can watch his test on Burghley TV.
Today was the first day of the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials. Burghley is my favorite of the overseas events because they do such a fantastic job of televising it. Burghley TV is free — and you can watch it on demand. Get a rider’s eye view of the event in the “fly through” Take […]
Thank goodness for Burghley TV. I didn’t have time to watch any of the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials this year but it’s all available on demand. Burghley does an awesome job of bringing the event into the living rooms of eventers all around the world and I’m really going to enjoy watching the rides. […]

To finish in the top 10 on a regular basis would be a triumph of skill, luck and the ability to find and develop amazingly talented horses. To win Burghley six times is hard to imagine but that’s exactly what William Fox-Pitt […]
Some year I will get to Burghley to watch it live. This year I am just glad that Burghley TV is free. While not the same as feeling the turf under foot, at least I can enjoy the small, computer screen sized window onto the event. Dressage starts today!
The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials is turning 50 this year. The event, which runs from September 1-4, features 45 jumping efforts and will have an optimum time of 11:30– longer than last year’s event. Every year Burghley posts a video course walk with course designer Captain Mark Phillips on the home page of its […]
