Piggy French in top two spots at Blenheim after XC

Piggy French is sitting pretty at Blenheim after finishing in the top two spots. She’s in the lead with Lemington Lett Dance and second on DHI Topper.

Pippa French is in third place on mare Billy Shannon and Tina Coudray is fourth on Ringwood Magister.

Just to show that course mistakes can happen to even pros, Andrew Nicholson took the wrong route on Quimbo at an alternative and was eliminated.

Sadly, Kyle Carter had to pull up Madison Park after he came up lame upon landing after a fence and had to be retired. A vet examination revealed that he had torn a ligament and slipped a tendon off his hock. Last week Carter retired Madison Park from Burghley after the horse lost a shoe and fell early in the course.

You can read the update on from Kyle Carter on his blog.

Here’s an interview with Piggy French after cross country.

  1. Any relationship between Pippa & Piggy? Probably a silly question, but i would like to confirm my suspicions.

  2. Hi – Great Blog! You may be interested in a new Equine Blogging Network where you can post your bog for other equine bloggers to follow and likewise. Please take a look at http://hay-net.co.uk/ and join up – it would be great to have your blog there too. Many thanks for your time Sam (Haynet Admin)
