It’s been a miserable winter in New England. We finally got some relief this week with two days in the high 60s and low 70s.
I let Rosie out in the larger field to let her stretch her legs. And she had some fun! I was glad to not be riding her while she was this exuberant. Rosie probably weighs around 1400 pounds, so when she starts moving, the ground shakes.
She didn’t run for long, though. One lap around and she had a good roll and then looked for grass.
To see how quickly the weather changed, take a look at Zoey having fun in the snow on February 15th. I turned Rosie out too, but she had no interest in running around in snow that deep. Instead, she followed in my tracks when I cross country skied in the pasture.
