On July 27th Michaela Bowling set a new British side saddle high jump record by clearing 6ft 3in at the The National Show at Aintree. She missed the World Record by a mere 3″. It was only the third time her horse, Laughing Larry, had been ridden side saddle and Bowling has only been riding aside for a few months.
