It’s a brilliant idea! The music isn’t a bunch of different pieces carefully segued into each other. Having one instrument, with one ‘voice’, play wildly incompatible selections like “The Blue Danube”, “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, “Bonanza”, and “We Are The Champions” makes it a very seamless performance. With the added bonus that the musician can watch the horse/rider pair and correct to match the tempo.
That’s really nice…too bad about the crowd clapping along …..at least they’re invested though…
Loved the inclusion of the theme to “Bonanza”! I wonder if I could talk my daughter into playing her clarinet for me….hmm….
