If you are like me, the chance of competing over the Advanced course at Millbrook is somewhere between slim and none! However, now you can ride along with Laine Ashker as she wins the division for the second year in a row riding Anthony Patch.

The last time I had the chance to drive I was at camp and we drove some tiny ponies. This looks way more fun. The video shows two Fresian/Saddlebred sisters on the cross country phase of an event. Some of those obstacles he drives through are so narrow. Doesn’t it make you want to go […]

If you don’t think Burghley is in your future, here’s your chance to experience the course courtesy of Hawley Bennett-Awad’s helmet cam. This video gave me a real appreciation for the fences (some are huge and some are very narrow) and for the amount of galloping on that course. Only the truly fit need apply. […]
Here’s a very cool helmet cam that shows an outrider at the track catching a racehorse that’s lost its jockey. The footage is shown in slow motion at the end so it’s worth watching the whole thing.
Helmet cams aren’t just for cross country anymore. John Anderson donned one for his recent round at Spruce Meadows in the $175,000 2011 Nexen Derby on Terrific. Anderson finished in 16th place with 26 faults. The Spruce Meadows Derby is kind of a cross between stadium jumping and cross country. You can see why it’s […]

I have always wanted to foxhunt in Ireland or England. This is the closest I’ve come so far! These helmet cam videos are great! I’ve linked to one below but it’s worth checking out this guy’s YouTube Channel for the rest.
If you didn’t have the chance to ride the XC course at WEG, here’s your chance to experience the thrill from the safety of your living room sofa. Peter Atkins has treated us all to another of his “helmet cam” rides and invited us along to live vicariously through him. I’d certainly want a horse […]
