March can leave like a lion. As a horticulturalist/botanist I avidly search for the first signs of spring here in the outskirts of NYC. The red maple outside my window has swollen red flower buds (tiny insignificant flowers but they show red against the blue sky). I assume
the American elm, another early bloomer, is similarly ready. I noticed the first daffodil spears just breaking the ground yesterday. So keep the faith even if it snows in early April. The days are longer and the sun is hitting the northern hemisphere with more energy.
And visualize the jet stream to the north of you.
