What a race! Nyquist continued his winning streak running just the way he likes — right off the pace in the front of the field. Jockey Mario Gutierrez gave him a perfect trip.

“He will not allow any other horse pass him,” he said. “He’s the kind of horse that always has something left for whatever comes to him late.”

Exaggerator also ran the kind of race he likes to run. He came from behind  and gave a gallant gallop up the stretch. But he came up short by a length and a quarter.
