This past week I’ve been in San Francisco, helping a family member after an untimely and sudden death. In the midst of such sadness, it’s important to snatch a few minutes of joy. Today, while celebrating my nephews’ birthday (twin boys who turned six), I looked up and saw Zelda, painted on the wall of the school playground. Seeing this wonderful painting put a smile on my face. The only thing they got wrong is that she’s a tad too skinny. But seeing her like that has inspired me to put her back to work and get us both into shape. I’ve been walking several miles a day in this hilly city; I hope she’s been doing her part.
