Unlike the virtual Kentucky Derby, which was a run-off between past champions, the 2020 Virtual Aintree Grand National featured the 40 horses who were already entered.
Tiger Roll, who won the last two Grand Nationals, had been due to seek an unprecedented third consecutive win until the race was canceled because of the coronavirus. I won’t give away the finish. It’s a fun race to watch and you don’t even have to worry whether any of the horses or jockeys were injured.
All profits from the race went to NHS Charities Together.
Well, that was fun. I am amazed at how quickly the fences repaired themselves, picking up the fallen limbs all on their own, the self healing turf..not a hoofprint to be found! And the horses running without jockeys quietly vanished…
great fun, Liz, thank you very much!
