I am calling photoshop 😛
LOL, I’ve seen this pose before…we don’t need the photoshop police, honest.
I missed taking a photo this morning of one of the giant OTTB’s at our barn, totally contorted on her front ankles (hocks) as she twisted her upper lip under the lowest bar on her paddock trying to reach the 1/2″ blade of grass just beyond muzzle length. Dead camera battery. I’m always on the lookout for horse yoga…you’d be amazed at what pretzels they can be.
My class B appaloosa mare, 12 years old, does this stretch on many mornings, as I am getting the feed ready for her. It’s precious and she seems to enjoy it. I’ll try and get a picture one day soon.
My daughter’s Arabian used to do that pose, but with one hind leg extended. His name is Indy, but we called him Yogi.
Oh, yes — both Aaruba and Consolation do this regularly. Cracks me up every time.
