Every once in awhile someone is in the right place at the right time to capture some true athleticism. Maybe not exactly what the riders had in mind but impressive nonetheless.
These two videos show riders who are well beyond my ability to stick a buck.
wow. hats off to lady number one, though I wouldn’t want to go to bed at night with her right knee after running it along the arena wall.
I honestly believe lady number two brought that buck on herself and nearly caused a flip. shame on her.
It seems to me that lady number one should have done more work desensitizing the horse on the ground with the tarp before riding the horse with it. She also seemed to be hanging onto the horse’s mouth the whole time. She should have released one rein and turned the horse with a one rein stop when the horse started bucking.
It looked like the second lady tried to turn the horse but was hanging on too tight with the outside rein causing the horse to rear up. Again I would suggest releasing the outside rein and do a sharp one rein stop. Of course it’s not always easy to remember in the heat of the moment. That’s when practice, practice, practice, helps a lot.
