Police blow up stuffed pony near elementary school

I sure hope this wasn’t someone’s favorite toy!

A “Fur-Real” pony was left in a cul-de-sac near an elementary school in Orange County, Florida. After it was deemed suspicious, the police put the school on lock down, sent a robot to inspect the toy and then blew it up.

Now, when my kids were smaller they certainly left their toys places — most likely down on our circle at some point. I’m glad I never had to explain to them why it had been blown to smithereens while they were at school.

Edited to add: Police determined after the fact that the toy was . . . just a toy and was harmless.
