Yesterday afternoon we had an amazing storm: Thunder, lightning and hail — big pieces of ice fell.
When the skies cleared I went for a ride. After all, it was the coolest it had been all week. The temperature had dropped more than 20 degrees.
I headed out at about 8 p.m. and as I rode up to the big fields, the sun was setting just at the moment when the sun was setting and the fog was rolling in. The sight was magnificent.
I watched until I thought we would be completely enveloped by the fog and then rode home in the dark, the path lit by fireflies.
