This morning our paddocks are soggy, dreary and slippery as all get out. I face planted into the mud earlier this week after slipping (very graceful!) and am trying to keep Freedom quiet so he doesn’t re-injure himself. This is not what June in New England is supposed to look like.
Weather is definitely changing. I can’t remember the last time we had a drenching rain storm in June. Which we did! Strangely, many of our stalled horses have shed their summer coats out, and grown back in pseudo-winter coats, causing much clipping consternation…because its 90 degrees….
