Christmas Day Shenanigans

We had a warm, wet, blustery Christmas. Because of the rain, the horses had been kept in their individual turnouts. When it cleared on Christmas day, I let Zelda and Curly out for a bit to stretch their legs. Here’s a few seconds of their shenanigans.

I always have mixed feelings about turning out when the ground is slick. If the horses are turned out daily, they don’t run; if they are kept “in”, and for our horses, that means in smaller turnouts, not in stalls, they go a bit nuts. I hate to see them tear up the paddock . . . and I hold my breath hoping they don’t tweak a suspensory or something like that.
