I think it would be a very nice touch, if the horses got some awesome hay and the horse owner got one rose, or a nice piece of chocolate. Although, the hay would be very thoughtful in itself … hmmm.
I’ll take the 21 bales……….the roses are dead.

Yup. Having worked in the flower industry, I can attest to the fact that there is no bigger scam than “Saying it with flowers”.
I do love cut flowers but the cost is obscene. Years ago a farm near us had a “picking pass” for flowers and I would buy one for the season and then fill my house with freshly picked ones. I miss that!
