On Christmas Eve, here’s a delightful column from Cooky McClung about a Christmas gift beyond value. This article has been circulating on a foxhunting forum all week and when I read it it made me tear up. Now that I realize who wrote it, I know why.
If any readers out there are not familiar with her writing, you MUST find her books. Cooky McClung’s columns in the Chronicle were the first thing I read when I received the magazine as a teen and her books (collections of her columns) have a special place on my bookshelf. They are guaranteed to cheer me out of the darkest moods.
Enjoy! And Happy Holidays to All.
