When I was pulled out my blankets this year, I reflected that my Rambo Wug heavy weight blanket is about to start it’s 10th winter. Pretty impressive, given that my horses live out 24/7 and are not known for being kind to their clothing. While I’ve had to make some minor repairs to the blanket, it still looks great.

I have one of those old Wugs too. About 12 years old. Not a scratch on it, but it is pretty faded. I love it. There is a pic of my mare wearing it on my blog.
I wish my other blankets were so durable. Freedom shredded his Weatherbeeta in a couple of months!
I’ve been looking at (read daydreaming, don’t need one yet) R Wugs on sale. How do they do with high withers, do we know? Without gussets, I wondered if they’d twist from the elevation changes. I love that it goes partly up the neck.
