My daughter says that horses smell like her childhood. I suppose she did spend a lot of time at the barn, especially for a girl who doesn’t like to ride.

On a warm, sunny day like we had today. There’s little better than the smell of a horse. Their breath heavy with the scent of hay. Their winter coat soft and warm. And their eye sleepy.

There was the glimmer of spring in the air today. The horses enjoyed the sunshine; it was almost warm.
