Key requirement for becoming an equine photographer? Fast reflexes!

This photographer at the Winter Equine Festival in Wellington, Fla., learned that the most dangerous place to be during a jumper class was not on the horse, but rather on the ground! Luckily it appears that horse, rider and photographer all escaped unscathed.

  1. I don’t know about an equine photographer, but to me, that’s the rider’s equivalent of the nightmare where you show up to school naked.
Seeing that horse speed up to a gallop as his rider scooted up to his neck sent shivers down my spine.

  2. I had to look through my fingers after the first jump. Really glad no one was hurt. That was one hard fall. Amazed the photographer had the presence of mind to snag the horse!
