According to an article in the Daily Telegraph, Moustachioed horse evades barbers, there’s a 10-year old Shire cross in the UK named Alfie that has grown a moustache that rivals some of the most famous in history.

Apparently Alfie is quite proud of his facial hair. He won’t let his grooms near him if he thinks they are planning to trim it!
The article states that facial hair among horses is rare, except amoung Fresians.
A quick search on the Internet shows a pretty good smattering of mustachioed horses. Maybe the rest just have good barbers. Or extra sharp clipper blades.
The Gypsy Vanner horse often has a moustache. My Gypsy Vanner is 3 years old and sports a cute little ‘stache that I’m half tempted to leave. It’s not obnoxiously long or big, but noticable when you are up close.
Wow! This is great! I see a Movember photo op here! I need to delve more into this horse stache phenomenon! I might also recommend Dandy Candy Moustache Wax my current brand of choice to Mr Ed! Cheers!
