Gulliver, born last year in Russia, looks like he will take over the crown for the smallest male miniature horse. Most of the breed measures a maximum of 34 inches; Gulliver is only 19″ tall now and was only the size of a cat when he was born. He is still smaller than Enstein, who stands at 20″.
The smallest female horse record is still held by Thumbelina, a miniature sorrel brown mare, who measures 17.5.
Ironically, Gulliver is named after Jonathan Swift’s Lemuel Gulliver, who discovers he’s a giant when he is shipwrecked on the island of Lilliput.
Wow!! NOT even half the size of our dog….
